For those of you who have or have had a baby, you know that diaper-changing time can be a hassle at times, especially when they are squirming all over the place, so having one less step between start and finish is so beyond helpful! So, I made Palmer some "baby legs". Essentially, they are baby leg warmers - used in place of pants! So, diaper-changing time rolls around (numerous times a day) and you don't have to worry about getting the pants off and trying to get them back on!
I first saw a tutorial for them here and decided I could make these too. I altered it a little bit because I didn't have a sewing machine, but they turned out perfectly!
(Note: I don't have pictures for all the steps because I made these awhile back)
I bought some adult length tall socks one day while we were in Target in Kalispell. They were on sale for $1 each so I bought 3 pairs. I started by cutting off the foot of each sock at the heel.
Then I turned the sock inside out and pinned up the edges of the bottom.
And, since I didn't have a sewing machine, I used the good ol' needle and thread to sew around the edges. I was able to make it so there was no thread showing on the outside after I was done. Then just flip your socks right side out and ta-da! Baby Legs!

ReplyDeleteI'm wanting to make more! They are super simple, and if you have a seeing machine, they'd be even easier!!!
