Bumpdate: 24 Weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 24 weeks (on Friday July 3)

ABOUT BABY:  Baby is the size of a cantaloupe at 12.7 - 20.8 ounces and is measuring about 10.5 - 11.8 inches long.

SLEEP: Sleep is still going well. It's pretty typical to previous, waking once in the night. Lately though, I have been waking early in the morning and not being able to get back to sleep for about an hour or so, which is really annoying!

MOVEMENT: This babe is moving all. the. time. I wake in the night, they're moving. I rest in the day, they're moving. I'm certain they are starting to us my bladder as a trampoline too!

CRAVINGS: No real cravings this week, although it's been SO HOT here that anything cold is perfect!

MATERNITY CLOTHES: Still not yet. I did buy a pair of short though in one size bigger than my usual, otherwise, I'm still wearing most of my own clothes. Like I said before, it's been so hot here that most of my days are spent in a swimsuit or sundress anyways!

BEST MOMENT: Feeling babe move all the time is pretty amazing. I have tried a couple times to get Mitch and Palmer to feel baby too, but we haven't really had any luck! I can feel the kicks like crazy but they seem to stop when someone else's hand is there.

SIBLING: Palmer is really starting to talk about it more. She will whisper in someones ear "There's a baby in mommy's tummy. Shh, its a secret." Its so cute. And she is starting to play more with her baby doll, wrapping her up in a blanket and carrying her around. "Shh, mama. My baby is sleeping." She is so sweet. She is going to be the sweetest big sister. We even saw a little 6 week old baby at a BBQ the other day, and Palmer kept looking at her, she thought she was just so precious. I am so excited to see her with her new sibling!!

Bump-Date: 21 Weeks

Half way there! I cannot believe it! The time is just flying by and baby will be here before we even know it! (and I totally had a 20 week update ready to go but I missed taking and uploading a photo until late)

HOW FAR ALONG: 21 weeks (on Friday June 12)

ABOUT BABY:  Baby is the size of a pomegranate at 12.7 ounces and is measuring about 10.5 inches long.

SLEEP: Sleep is much improved. I am usually sleeping through the night, otherwise only waking once to pee. I am feeling much more rested these days, which means I am eager to start working on the nursery while I have the energy!

SICK OR QUEASY: None! Yay! I've not had any bad symptoms at all as of late!

MOVEMENT: There is a lot of it, and every once in awhile, I feel a kick on the outside. It's been hard to catch though, so Mitch and Palmer still have yet to feel baby move!

CRAVINGS: Fruit. All the fruit. Like some fresh, cold oranges. So delicious. I am loving that it is warm out and fruit is fresh. And watermelon. Yes please! I have to say, our trip to Costco today was filled with fruit! So yummy!

MATERNITY CLOTHES: Still not yet, but I am getting to the point of having to. I picked up 3 maxi dresses this past week, hoping they will last me until the end of this pregnancy. They aren't maternity ones though, so we will see how long they actually last!

BEST MOMENT: The ultrasound we had today! It really makes it that much more real seeing that little babe inside! We took Palmer with us so she could see the baby too. I had told her earlier in the week we were going to see the baby Friday so she was getting pretty excited! It was so special to have her and Mitch there with me to see! I know she is going to be the best big sister!

Bump-Date: 16 Weeks

First off, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone for all the support and kind words on the announcement of our Baby #2. We are over the moon excited! You can see our announcement post here.

Many people ask me if Palmer understands what is going on or not. Definitely not. We can ask her "Where is baby?" Sometimes she will answer "in Mommy's tummy." other times she will lift up her shirt and point to her own belly. And when we ask her "Do you want a baby" she more often than not, replies with "no." Oh boy. She will be in for a surprise.

HOW FAR ALONG: 16 weeks (on Friday May 8)

ABOUT BABY:  They say baby is now the size of an avocado (approx 4.5 inches and 3.5 ounces). At my last Dr appointment, baby's heartbeat was 160bpm. Our 20 week ultrasound is booked for June 12.

SLEEP: I have been sleeping well. I have passed the point of complete and utter exhaustion and am into my normal exhaustion mode again. Working fulltime and chasing after a 2 year old is no easy feat when you are growing a little human inside you! The first 14 weeks were so beyond tiring, I can't even begin to describe it. I was going to bed just after Palmer went down. I was napping when Palmer napped, and sometimes, on days off, even snuck in a morning nap!

SICK OR QUEASY: This time around has been much worse than when I was pregnant with Palmer. I am still having days of just feeling really blah. There were many days early on that I felt horrible and laid on the couch as much as I could. Even still, there are many days after work that I just feel kinda crappy. I am really hoping this passes soon so I can enjoy all this beautiful weather! The two worst things during the day though, are brushing my teeth and taking my prenatal vitamin. I gag every. single. time. and it is so horrible.

MOVEMENT: Yes! I have been feeling little flutters going on in there since about 13.5 weeks. Definitely feeling baby much sooner than last time. Baby is most active around supper time and in the early evening!

CRAVINGS: Not too much. More so having aversions than cravings of any sort.

OTHER STUFF:  I am already starting to have my rib bother me again. It started popping out when I was pregnant with Palmer, and I had no idea what it was. Now that I know, I have been going in to get it popped back in, almost on a regular basis now. I'm also having some pelvic girdle pain that comes and goes. Oh the joys! :)
